Rescue Of The Week!!!

My name is Church, but my previous owners liked to call me Smokey, but I will respond to both names!!!

I am a Russian Blue; I came to Paws & Claws Animal Shelter about 4 months ago because my previous owners left me alone in an empty house because they didn’t want me to come with them.

I don’t mind being around other animals like dogs, other cats, or any other animals. I do really enjoy my time alone where I can just be lazy and lounge around the house but my favorite spot is the window!!! Do you like to play??? I do!!! My favorite toys to play with are anything that is on a string and that I can bat around the house!!! I like people too. They’re wonderful! I can be a bit demanding when I want affection from my people. Ok, a lot demanding. But I love to cuddle! I love being pet, getting my scratches and I love to get belly rubs. I have this spot that I just LOVE to be scratched. When my people scratch that spot, I can’t help but flop over in absolute bliss.

I really am an adventurer at heart!! I love to climb and explore anywhere in the house but I really love to hide in the cupboards, well really anything I can climb inside!! My old owners said I was a special cat because I love water, you can find me in the sink but make sure to check for me when you want to have a bath or shower because that is my favorite place to play and have the occasional nap.

I promise that you will not find any better cat than me!! I am a well-rounded, lovable cat. My ideal home would be around lots of people, kids, and other animals! All I ask from my new family is that they have lots of cozy blankets and maybe my own bed, but my favorite place to wind down after a very exciting day would be cuddling up in my owners lap under a warm and cozy blanket!!!
